拍品描述: E. Howard & Co, No. 82 Grandfather Clock. 12 in. silvered metal dial signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston”, has black incised Roman hour numerals and 5 minute numbers, sub seconds dial, moon phase dial with paint missing, fancy corner spandrels and fancy pierced blued hands; quality brass 8 day weight driven movement signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston”, has Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, half hour strike on a blued coiled gong, 2 brass covered weights, brass pulleys and gilt turned wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob. In a style 82 carved mahogany case with turned and carved spire finials, turned columns, Gothic arched door with beveled glass and fancy acanthus floral carved panel in the base; in very nice condition with a clean original finish. 100.5 in. high x 23.5 in. wide x 13.5 in. deep.
