拍品描述: French Figural Bronze Silk Thread Mantle Clock. The dore bronze clock depicts an allegory of astronomy with an astrolabe on a column to the left, a shelf with books in the center topped with an oil lamp, books and measuring instruments, to the left is a figure of a standing woman studying from a book. 3 in porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands and floral wreath bezel; typical round brass 7 day spring driven movement with silk thread suspension and half hour strike on a bell. In good condition and running, case is missing a few screws and pieces are loose, but sit in place; compass decoration on the top has 1 bent arm and one broken point, has repair to rear door bezel and strike hammer. 16 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep. Weight: 14 lbs.
