拍品描述: Luristan, modern day Iran, ca. 800 CE. This is a thin piece of iron attached to a bronze piece in the shape of a seated horse. This may have been a pin on a bit used for horses, or a pin on a chariot. The horse depiction here is charming, with clear details of body including a styled mane. Horse bits were buried with the dead in Luristan and horses were both a sign of prestige and a way of life for the people of this culture. Size: 4.55" L x 1.35" W (11.6 cm x 3.4 cm).
