拍品描述: Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Michoacan, ca. 600 to 1200 CE. A female ceramic figurine sitting with hands placed upon her lifted knees. She boasts an expressive visage with open eyes and mouth, her face framed by large ear spools and neatly coiffed hair. Nubbin breasts emphasize her female traits, as like most ancient cultures of the Pre-Columbian world, a female's fertility was highly valued. Wood block stand. Size: figure itself measures 2" W x 3" H (5.1 cm x 7.6 cm).

Provenance: Ex-private Professor Dr. Peter Arnovick collection, CA, collected before 1970
