拍品描述: Japan, Edo Period, ca. 1750 to 1850 CE. Fine bronze water dropper (Suiteka) in the form of a pumpkin. Gourd with deep ridges on sides, small spout, removable lid and handle in the form of a mouth with handle emerging from it. Marked/ Signed on base. Vessels such as this were used to drip small amounts of water on ink stones for use in Japanese calligraphy. Size: 3.25" L x 1.75" H (8.3 cm x 4.4 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Paul & Louise Bernheimer collection, Cambridge, MA and Laguna Woods, CA., acquired before 1980
