拍品描述
Japan, Edo to Meiji Period, ca. 1850 to 1900 CE. Fabulous bone netsuke (weight at the end of an Inro) in the form of an old man resting on a rock outcropping. He holds a large crooked staff with a frog atop partially on his head, wonderful folds of his robe with incised patterns and a small basket behind him. Size: 2.875" H (7.3 cm)

Provenance: From the Paul and Louise Bernheimer collection of Japanese Edo and Meiji Period Netsukes, Cambridge, MA and Laguna Woods, Ca. Acquired before 1980 and all made at least 75 years before the 1970 ivory ban.
