Bronze. Cambodia, Old Khmer Empire, 12th to 13th cent.
The upper body is naked, necklaces around the breast, the dhoti draped in folds and decorative ribbons. One arm is missing, in the right hand is a not recognizable object – in case of a simplified depiction of vajra, then it could be a prajnaparamita, a female bodhisattva. But if it is a lotus blossom, then Uma, spouse of Shiva. Headdress, jewelry on the ears. Strong age patina, deposits. Mounted on a square acryl base.
