Kozuka bordered with a raised rim, and showing on a fine nanakoji ground two resting ushi in takazogan highlighted with some minute details in gilt and silver. The bovine (ox) is on the second place among the animals of the zodiac and symbolizes spring and wealth because of flourishing agriculture, further it is the riding animal of the sages, i.e. Laozi
