This floral footed bowl presents a lobed mouth. Very compact composition inside and outside with most various blossoms (largest are chrysanthemums and peonies) over a golden background, with many tiny golden dots - popular in the art of tenzogan. Around the foot, a golden ring and vine border, the lip is also gilded. Signature on bottom KOSHI-DA 越 田. KOSHIDA was from the 1880′s a productive manufacturer of best Satsuma ceramic and employed some of the period′s most talented artists for the intricate painting of the pieces. The manufacturer closed around the same time of the famous craftsmen in Kinkozan, but then resumed production again after the war.
