拍品描述: Netsuke, stag-horn. Japan, 18th cent. The goat hitsuji is in the zodiac, while the sheep was supposedly not known of. Special emphasis in this netsuke lies on the greatly vivid depiction of the head with wakeful, prudent eyes, dark and inlaid. The animal has a very long, upwardly stretched neck, the body has been kept small. An engraved line runs from the back of the head along the entire back, the fur texture falls from it. The horn structure is integrated into the design. Strong age-patina, himotoshi from underneath to the backside of the body. HEIGHT 3,5 CM From a German private collection
