Glazed stoneware. Thailand, Sawankhalok, Ayutthya Empire, 14th to 15th cent.
Exceptionally effective in the combination of glaze color, craquelé and decor. Particularly the water-green glaze and expressive craquelling glaze outside on the ribbed wall are impressively beautiful, glaze end with coil and drop formation. A blossom inside with recessed pool surrounding it, on the wall are staggered ovoid, incised circular lines. The smooth rim is slightly slanted, the lip lightly flared. Caking from the firing support in the unglazed foot, as well as flue spirals.
