拍品描述: Miniature painting with colours and some gold. India, 19th cent. Enchantingly fine miniature in the Mogul style, depicting three dames, one seated on a red chair and observing her reflection in the mirror which a servant is holding up for her. A dark-skinned lady is holding a pearl chain in one hand, wearing rich adorments and showing a bare breast. The standing girl who is holding up the mirror is likewise dressed luxuriously. Delicate flow of the long garment creases as well as fine detailed patterns. A view of the green lawn and small pavillon through the lobed gate arches. Floral border with gold. In passepartout. PICTURE SIZE 19,5 x 14,5 CM, SHEET 35 x 26,5 CM From an Italian private collection
