拍品描述: Painting with water colours and gilding on paper. India, 18th/19th cent. A very fine Indian miniature painting on a light-toned background surrounding the deep blue floral-patterned border. The only depiction, apart from the lawn and distant clouds on the edges, is an absentmindedly moving Woman, dressed in partially translucent clothing and a cloth over her head. She is wearing jewelry around her wrists and holding a small amphora in one hand. Gold leaf-patterns embellish the border and above it, on the backdrop, is a large red stamp. The stamp is also present on the back; next to it a similar deep blue border around a Nastaliq script. It is somewhat damaged.
