拍品描述: Oil on canvas. Thailand, 20th cent. Buddha’s visage. An oil painting by one of the best painters specialized in the image of Buddha, portraying a famous stone sculpture, which one belonged to queen Jayarajdevi, spouse of Jayavarman VII, Cambodia (12th century AD). A deep preoccupation with the depiction “Buddha”, primarily sculptural works reinterpreted as paintings, are Jean-Marc Huss’ trademark. His paintings are always large in size and immediately attract one with their unmistakable unique style.
