Buddha’s visage. An oil painting by one of the best painters specialized in the image of Buddha, portraying a famous stone sculpture, which one belonged to queen Jayarajdevi, spouse of Jayavarman VII, Cambodia (12th century AD). A deep preoccupation with the depiction “Buddha”, primarily sculptural works reinterpreted as paintings, are Jean-Marc Huss’ trademark. His paintings are always large in size and immediately attract one with their unmistakable unique style. Truly exorbitant is that he always manages to capture the soul and to make its inner life plausible.
