Description: A Japanese lacquer picnic box
18th/19th century
Containing four stacking boxes and cover, a drawer with rectangular tray, and another tray for bottles with inset, all decorated with Japanese fishing village and mon.
NOTE:
Box contains letter from Thorp Brothers, Inc. Restoration Services, dated December 27th, 1977 detailing the piece's restoration. Signed "Gunner K. Thorpe".
