First half 20th century, England. The painting on canvas depicting Charles Heidsieck in showman's outfit. These signs were produced by a studio of artist for companies such as Moet & Chandon, Guinness and others. We believe this is an example from the studio, never used for advertising. Front is affixed with a small sign "Advertising Artwork c. 1880/ Return to Library". Now housed in a modern frame under Plexiglas. Horizontal fold crease at midpoint, otherwise very good. 43" x 29" (sight). Condition: Dimensions: Framed: 45-3/4" x 32-1/4".
