Circa 1855, Germany. The horn fitted with a silvered lid, mounted with a seated figure playing an instrument. The horn is embellished with filigree gilt metal mounts of vinery. The opposing end with filigree collar fitted for a carrying strap. The lid is engraved in Germany translates to "Harmony Singing Society of Baltimore 1855".
