First quarter 19th century, China. In the three parts, the unique tureen with round cover and pomegranate knob finial, fitted to the conforming bowl with applied handles. The interior fitted with a removable liner divided in two sections. The whole in overall floral design, the lid additionally with two floral roundels on opposing sides with the letter "B", undoubtedly a special order. Note: The tureen was illustrated and described in an article by David Overall in the magazine "Antiques and Fine Art", The Holiday Issue, 2003. Very fine to excellent.
