First half 20th century, Japan. Finely carved deities in ivory depicting the seven Gods of happiness: Jurojin, Dikoku, Hotei, Benten, Bishamon, Ebish, Fukurokujin. Each figure is signed on the base and is accompanied by the original covered box with compartments. Each are between 3-1/2 to 3-3/4" tall. One deity with the upraised right arm carved to perhaps to accommodate an object that is now absent, otherwise very good with mellow patina and undisturbed surface.
