Second half of the 18th century, American, possibly Mid-Atlantic region. The rectangular top with curved ends has hinged Demilune leaves, projecting above the scalloped and shaped apron, and joined to tapering hinged cabriole legs with scalloped returns. Raised on pointed, ridged pad feel. Both leaves have been spliced, repaired and are with replaced strips of wood. The top has been reset and three legs have been repaired and reattached at apron. Table exhibits older cleaning and re-polishing, feet are original. Size: 27 - 1/2" tall, 39 - 1/2" long, 9" wide. Open: 39 - 1/2" x 42". Provenance: From a private New England collection.
