Very good and original untouched chalk drawing. Very shallow depressions in area of left arm in folds of robe. Also very small streaks caused by fluid, slightly left of center facing. On verso is an inventory label from the "Musee de Louvre et Bibliotheque Nationale Juin-Juillet 1980 'Exposition Delacroix'", also a handwritten note identifying as "Delacroix Coll. Mrs Hebster". Provenance: From the Private Collection of a well-known Fine Art collector from Southern Maine. NOTE: Delacroix is regarded as a leader of the French Romantic school and is considered one of the last old Masters.
