Carved as a coiled "pig-dragon", a type of jade carving found at Hongshan burial sites. Its thick body coiled around a central, opening the flat snout of its powerful head, separated by a radial slit that has been cut from the opposite sides. As with the slit in the jade jue, the cuts do not meet evenly on the same plane. The creature has large ears that extend above the head, round bulging eyes, and a wrinkled snout. One hole pierce the back of the neck, allowing for the suspension. The stone of celadon color with white inclusion. 2.33 inch H, 1.76 inch W.
