拍品描述: Description: IMPRESSIVE LARGE ELEVEN-HEADED AVALOKITESHVARA WITH EIGHT ARMS.Nepal. 19th/20th c. Bronze finely engraved. The bodhisattva of compassion with eleven heads and eight arms standing on an open-work lotus pedestal. Three rows with each three heads each are topped by a Mahakala head, which is further crowned by the head of Buddha Amitabha. Both of his inner hands are holding the wish-granting jewel at heart level, the other six arms are holding implements and are showing the varada mudra. Across his left shoulder is draped an antilope skin, he wears rich Bodhisattva jewelry and a dhoti with floral decoration. W.5100g, h.63.2cm. Condition A/B.
