拍品描述: Description: HEAD OF A DEITY.Khmer. Baphuon style. 11th c. Limestone with age-related weathering and band-shaped inclusions. The elegantly stylized facial features with a fine smile and a good proportioned nose with the elegantly curved eyebrows beginning at the root. The ears drawn long from wearing heavy jewelry. The hair braided in countless fine strands with small jewels, held together by a jeweled ring on top of the head and crowned with a flower. Height 21cm. Condition A/B.Literature:-Sherman E.
