拍品描述: This precisely rendered watercolor depicts a detailed view of a Japanese pagoda or shrine. It is signed Lillian Carpenter, who may be the California artist born in 1880. The painting's fresh, strong colors lead to the conclusion that it was painted post 1940. The framing is newer, with a label on the back from a gallery in Newport, Rhode Island.
