拍品描述: This 1890's American oil on canvas landscape has subtle coloration and wonderful depth. Your eye can follow the gentle stream back into the landscape. The style is reminiscent of the Hudson River painters. As with many beautiful old paintings, it is unsigned, but a great example painted by a skilled artist. The paint has an even craquelure (see the photos) which is a valued sign of age. It has been stabilized, and overall the painting shows as a lovely antique. The painting is on an 18"x30" stretched canvas. The new gold-metal leafed wood frame was custom made in our studio. Frame size is 30" x 34" x 1.5" The painting has been cleaned and lined onto a new canvas to strengthen it. It has a new coating of non-yellowing varnish. The frame has a protective backing board.
