拍品描述
China, 13th-14th century. Well-potted, the bud-shaped body supported on a short, waisted foot and rising to a pointed tip, with shoulders fitted with a gracefully curved handle and a short, upturned spout. The exterior covered overall in a pale celadon, finely crackled glaze, pooling attractively and stopping just above the foot to reveal the warm, clay-colored ceramic beneath. One side pierced with a small aperture for the introduction of water into the interior.Provenance: From The Sam and Myrna Myers Collection, Paris, France. Acquired between circa 1965-2012.Condition: Very good condition with surface wear and firing-inherent irregularities, including light pitting and fine intentional glaze crackling. Expected traces of use. Minute chips to the spout.
