拍品描述

Description

Depicting the eleven-faced Avalokiteshvara Ekadashamukha at the centre. Around him, within four flower petals symbolising the four directions, are the Buddhas Akshobhya (blue), Ratnasambhava (yellow), Vairocana (white), and Amoghasiddhi (green). In this unusual arrangement, Avalokiteshvara occupies the position of Vairocana at the centre, who takes the place of Amitabha in the west. The mandala palace is surrounded by auspicious symbols and enclosed within a halo of flower petals and scrollwork. Around it appears a multitude of protector deities, Buddhas, lamas, and teachers of the Sakya school. Blue silk mounting with dragon motifs. Framed and glazed.
