The vase is decorated with a wide central band enclosing peonies, peach blossoms and chrysanthemum, all below iron red bats in flight. The neck and foot are encircled by a turquoise-ground ruyi-head band enclosing bats and scrolling lotus. The interior and base are glazed turquoise with an apocryphal Daoguang mark. The domed cover is similarly decorated.
Condition: Firing crack to the interior of the vase by the foot.
There is light wear to the enamels, including the top of the finial.
