Each bird is crafted with its head turned slightly to the side, its plumage is delicately decorated in multicoloured enamels. Each phoenix is modelled with one foot resting upon a lingzhi fungus growing from a pierced mottled green rock.

With small chips to to the extremities, some small flake chips to the enamels and wear to the gilding.
