The jade belt hook is carved with a dragon-head terminal meeting an openwork raised chilong which meanders up the shaft. The horn plaque is carved in a rectangular form to one side inscribed 'Zhai Jie', and the other side with the Manchu equivalent, all in a border of archaistic scrolls.
Condition: The belt hook:
Thin crack to three legs and the beard.
Small chips to the extremities, including the base (approx. 0.3 cm. wide).
