拍品描述
A ROBIN'S EGG ‘SASH-TIED’ CONJOINED DOUBLE GOURD VASE, QING DYNASTY

China, c. 1750-1850. The neatly potted miniature vessel with a slightly flaring neck terminating in a conjoined triple-mouth, with the lips lacquer-gilt, and a molded ribbon tied around the waist, covered overall in a rich robin’s egg glaze. The foot rim mirrors the shape of the mouth, unglazed to reveal the white ware, with the recessed base covered in a turquoise glaze.

Provenance: From a private estate in France.
Condition: With expected old wear, some traces of usage, a small chip to the foot, and a minute repair to the upper rim. Firing irregularities such as minuscule spots, faint glaze crackles, microscopic pitting. Minor glaze flaking.

Weight: 138.9 g
Dimensions: Height 9.8 cm
